Queensland has reviewed the border restrictions that were in place. We explain the eased restrictions.
The Queensland border will remain closed to Victoria and Greater Sydney.
Residents of NSW, (except the LGA's declared hotspots in greater Sydney) will be able to enter Queensland from 1 am on Tuesday, November 3rd.

People who have been in a hotspot in the past 14 days will not be allowed to enter Queensland.
Restrictions in place until November 3rd
Restrictions reviewed from 1:00 am Friday 25 September 2020
- Gatherings of 30 people in their homes and public spaces are allowed

From 1:00 am Thursday 1 October 2020:
- New South Wales border zone (PDF) was extended
- Queensland border zone no longer exists
- Queensland residents are able to travel anywhere in the New South Wales border zone for any purpose.
- New South Wales border zone residents are able to travel anywhere in Queensland for any purpose.
- More people can go to outdoor events or businesses. Read about changes for businesses and events.
