Home Modification Information Clearinghouse (HMinfo)

An Australia wide information resource funded by the Commonwealth Government as a part of the Community Home Support Programme to support people with problems in self-care, participation and autonomy. The Home Modification Information (HMinfo) website provides the evidence base for best practice in the modification, design and construction of the home environment by provision of: Design factsheets; Service information; original research; Apps and forums. The website is funded to provide direct online, face to face and phone support to people with disabilities; older people and their carers in addition to key Industry practitioners (ie. Occupational Therapy and Design/Construction Services). The data gained directly contributes to the development and implementation of evidence led government policy, improved Construction Standards and Professional guidance for home modification practice targetting older people and to younger people with disability and their carers.
