Child and Family Health Services Head Office

Child and Family Health Service provide a range of services to support families with children 0-12 years. The Nursing service offers education and advice for families and their children 0-5 years: home visits and clinic appointments for developmental checks (in the child's Blue Book), parent groups, breastfeeding support, immunisation clinics, newborn hearing checks and eye checks for 4 year old children. The Family Care Cottages provide support when a longer appointment is needed. A specific Aboriginal service -Ngiyang - is located in Tuggerah. Counselling services are available for families with children 3-12 years as well as psychological assessment and therapy. Medical and psychiatric consultation is also available.
