Independent, not-for-profit, virtual institute which supports schizophrenia research in centres across Australia. The vision is to discover the means to prevent and cure schizophrenia. This is being pursued by initiating, supporting and conducting world class research into schizophrenia which will advance understanding of its clinical components, mechanisms, causes, treatment and prevention.
Research infrastructure, such as the Australian Schizophrenia Research Bank, is also developed and supported.
