Morris Goding Accessibility Consulting (MGAC)
Description
Morris Goding Access Consulting (MGAC) provides advice and consultation on all areas of building accessibility. MGAC aims to ensure that the 19% of Australians who have a disability are able to live, work and participate independently and equitably. It aims to achieve this by providing seamless integration of access, demystifying disability and offering practical and cost effective solutions for existing and proposed building developments.
The provision of disabled access encompasses the Federal Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), Building Code of Australia (BCA), and Australian Standards (1428 series). MGAC serves a diverse array of clients including contractors, architects, engineers, government bodies and development groups.
MGAC also hosts a Home Modifications Directory to address the lack of mandatory accessibility codes for general housing. This directory can be accessed online at: www.accesshomes.com.au
