Do you love travelling but are averse to doing so because of the additional cost of travelling with a carer? Qantas has a Carer Concession card which provides heavily discounted tickets for carers.
We all love travelling, but it can be expensive enough, without doubling the price for those who need a carer to travel with them.
Did you know that Qantas has a Carer Concession Card? The card is issued to people with disability with high-level support needs who require the full-time assistance of a carer whilst they are on the plane. This means that if you need help going to the toilet, help with drinks and meals then you may be eligible. If you only need help at your destination or boarding, then you may not be eligible.
There are a number of discounts available including:
- For the Concession Cardholder, there is 10% discount on Red e-Deal and Flex Economy Class Fares, as well as 50% off the full cost of domestic business class fares.
- For the Nominated Carer, there is 50% discount on Red e-Deal and Flex Economy Class Fares, as well as 50% off the full cost of domestic business class fares.
These fares are all subject to availability with fare conditions applying and all bookings to be made at the same time (Cardholder and Nominated Carer).
Fares are not valid on international flights or Qantas’ alliance partners. There is an administration fee and the card is valid for three years.
