UTS Research Project

Entrepreneurs with Disability

INTRODUCTION

Are you a person with a disability who is self-employed, owns their own enterprise, has founded a social enterprise or identifies as an entrepreneur? Or would you like the opportunity to be a small business owner, entrepreneur or social entrepreneur in the future?

Self-employment refers to people who do some work for profit or family gain, in cash or in kind.

Entrepreneurship has been defined as the process of designing, launching and running a new business, which may begin as a small business, offering a product, process or service for sale or hire. People who do this are often called 'entrepreneurs'.

This questionnaire is part of a research study being conducted by the University of Technology Sydney Business School. It aims to understand the experiences of people with disability in Australia in owner-operated and small businesses (referred to as 'enterprises' throughout the survey).

The information provided will be used to better understand the needs of people with disability in business development, their experiences, the contributions they make, the barriers they face, and the enablers. Your participation in this study is highly valued.

If you are responding to this questionnaire on behalf of someone who is self-employed or an entrepreneur with a disability please interpret all questions that refer to "you" as the person you are answering for.

The questionnaire will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. For people using screen magnification software, this may take 40-45 minutes. Once the questionnaire has been started, it cannot be saved and restarted. It needs to be completed in one session. This has been done to protect your privacy.
